PANASONIC DMC-ZS7 ---this video shows you exactly what you need to do to achieve a whopping 63.8X ZOOM (!!!) on this amazing little point & shoot camera. All the reviews (including tv's G4 Attack of the Show) say the zoom maxes out at 16X Intelligent zoom (12X optical & 4X digital). Wrong! This video takes you through the menus and shows you how to turn on the incredible 63.8X extended zoom. I only perused the printed manual briefly...maybe it's in there. But NOONE seems to be aware of it....I wasn't...CNET tv wasn't...G4's Attack of the Show wasn't...blogs and reviews & comments don't mention it...Everyone only speaks of the 12X optical and 4X digital--16X "Intelligent Zoom". Follow this video step-by-step and achieve 63.8X!!! Yes, the max is grainy (digital on top of optical), but pix come out surprisingly clear, as well as some videos, exposure & lighting not withstanding. Check out my KFC restaurant videos for proof. Comment if you know of any other place that mentions the 63. 8X zoom as a standard built-in feature...I haven't seen it, & I researched thoroughly before I purchased this...would've purchase even sooner had I known this! My Olympus SP 570 UZ megazoom 20x optical camera only has a combined 25X zoom! 20X optical and 5X digital-bulky...the Lumix DMC ZS7 fits in my pocket with 63.8X combined zoom!!
